Training / QA Coordinator
Cobb County Dept of Emergency Communications
Marietta, Georgia
I began working as an Emergency Telecommunicator at Cobb County 911 in 2016 and can honestly say I love my job. As a CTO, POST Instructor, QA Evaluator, and now Training/QA Coordinator, I have been able to follow my passion for teaching and inspiring the current and next generation of 911 operators.
On the state level, I have spoken at the Georgia Emergency Communications Spring and Fall Conferences in 2022 - prepared/presented ‘Cultivating Confidence in Calltaking', 'Happy Together: The Training and QA Partnership', and ’Growing Your Peer Support Program'. And nationally presented 'Navigating 101: A Broken Compass Will Get You Lost' and 'Happy Together: The Training and QA Partnership' at Navigator 2023 in Denver.
I graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University in Ft Myers, FL in 2009 with dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Forensic Science and in Criminal Justice. Professional Certifications include: Georgia POST Instructor, APCO Communications Training Officer, APCO Communications Supervisor, and Peer Support thru the State of Georgia and the 911 Training Institute. I am also a member of APCO Health & Wellness and Professional Development Committees.
