The Department of Homeland Security’s Project 25 Compliance Assessment Program (P25 CAP) was established more than a dozen years ago to help ensure interoperability for digital land mobile radios. As the emergency communications ecosystem has evolved so too has P25 CAP. As LMR and Broadband systems converge, DHS is working to ensure that critical P25 standards are still adhered to by interworking communications solutions.
Learning Objectives:
Attendees (both public safety and industry) will have a better understanding of any changes to the type of equipment that is tested and subsequently posted on the DHS Approved (Grant-Eligible) Equipment list
Industry attendees will learn about new test cases that DHS is pursuing and any changes to upcoming testing
Attendees will have had an opportunity to inform the direction of the P25 CAP Program including helping DHS identify how the program may best continue to evolve in a changing emergency communications ecosystem to serve public safety
