Brittney Niblett has over three years of experience as a 911 Telecommunicator at SunComm 911 Communications in Yakima, Washington. As a Telecommunicator, she is responsible for answering 911 calls and dispatching law enforcement, fire, and EMS resources for the multi-jurisdictional and multi-discipline communications center. In addition to her role as Telecommunicator, Brittney is a senior trainer and acting supervisor. She is also a member of the peer support team, tactical dispatch team, and social media team. In 2022, she earned Telecommunicator of the Year which is an award for exceptional work and dedication. Brittney completed multiple trainings to enhance her ability to provide support to the public safety community, these include peer support, stress management course, Crisis Intervention Team Training for 911, and Telecommunicator 1. Brittney also has a strong background in customer service and before beginning her career as a Telecommunicator she worked as a bank teller and a barista. The most rewarding part of her role is being able to serve her community and doing her part to ensure first responders go home safely. Brittney’s passion is to continue her education in the Telecommunicator world and share her knowledge while training. She loves to help others and encourages them to grow in their career. When not working Brittney enjoys spending her time with her family and animals. During the warmer months, she enjoys taking the paddle boards up to a lake with her dog and relaxing. She also enjoys crafting, cooking, and having relaxing days off.
