What if I say the wrong thing and it makes them actually do it? Let's learn how to build a rapport with your suicidal caller by using active listening, labeling emotions, and knowing what questions to ask when you're speaking to the one who has reached what they consider to be, "the end of their rope". By the end of the presentation, we will be able to establish your caller's hooks and hopefully keep them safe until help arrives. Bonus- Chemical Suicide and how you can keep your caller and 1st responder safe in a hazardous situation.

At the culmination of this session, participants will be able to build a rapport with their suicidal caller in hopes to keep them safe until help arrives on scene.
At the culmination of this session, participants will better understand active listening, how to label emotions and key questions to ask when establishing the caller's HOOKS making the call flow go more smoothly for the call takers confidence and a better understanding of the mental state the suicidal caller is in at the time of the call.
At the culmination of this session, participants will be able to keep their reporting party and 1st responders on scene of a chemical suicide safe, which has been proven to be a deadly and hazardous situation if the call taker doesn't know what signs to look for.
