Christy Williams is the Director of 9-1-1 for the North Central Texas Emergency Communications District (NCT9-1-1), administrative agency for 9-1-1 in fourteen counties. NCT9-1-1 serves over 40 ECC’s in an area surrounding Dallas/Ft. Worth. Christy has been in the 9-1-1 industry for over thirty years. Christy served (2014-2016) as the President of the National Emergency Number Association (NENA). She was honored with the International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE) Critical Communications Leader of the Year Award in 2020.
In 2017, Christy worked with some of her colleagues across the country to launch an Early Adopter Summit (EAS) that is held annually and brings together disrupters and innovative industry partners with public safety representatives who are driving the transformation of 9-1-1 and filling the centers with new technologies, operational strategies, and governance.
Christy has a passion for 9-1-1 and 9-1-1 People! The NCT9-1-1 Program is working as an early adopter to inspire change in the 9-1-1 industry and improve services for our public and first responders. Christy works to encourage the people in 9-1-1 and help them develop servant leadership qualities so the next generation can continue to revolutionize 9-1-1.
