Dr. Andre Jones, PhD, MPA, MS, CPE, ENP, is Assistant Executive Director and Head of Profession for Healthcare Coordination Services (NCC-999/HCC-16099) under Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), the principal non-profit healthcare provider in Qatar. The directorate is for Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) operations (like 9-1-1 stateside) within the Hamad Medical Corporation Ambulance Service (HMCAS) which is responsible for the call-taking and dispatching for both emergency and scheduled incidents across the entire State of Qatar and sometimes abroad. Dr. Jones oversees quality, patient safety, risk management, and professional standards for the directorate of EMDs. Additionally, Dr. Jones served as the executive lead of the FIFA (World Cup 2022) Medical Command Center within the National Healthcare Incident Command Center in support of the Ministry of Public Health Medical Affairs and the Supreme Committee for Legacy and Delivery. Prior to joining HMCAS, Dr. Jones was the director at an ambulance service in Sonoma, California, near San Francisco, California, and a manager at an ambulance service in San Diego, California. Most of Dr. Jones' life was spent, however, in Atlanta, Georgia, where he worked for Grady Health System (EMS), American Medical Response, METRO, and Cobb County 9-1-1. Dr. Andre earned his BSc, MS, and MPA. with concentrations in emergency management from Jacksonville State University, where he also serves as an adjunct professor. Dr. Andre's writing, speaking, and research focus on improving leadership, recruitment, readiness, retention, and resilience in emergency dispatch. Dr. Jones is pursuing a second MPhil/PhD in industrial/organizational psychology in order to broaden and deepen the knowledge he received from his previous Doctorate in public policy.
